Telax Lands GSA's Federal Supply Schedule Contract

March 11, 2011

Telax Hosted Call Center, a Canada based hosted call center solutions catering to North America, has recently announced that the company has been awarded the Federal Supply Schedule Contract.

The contract was awarded by the United States General Services Administration (GSA (News - Alert)), which recognizes Telax as a leading provider of hosted call center solutions and an approved vendor to all levels of government in America. Telax will now be the only hosted call center provider on the GSA's Information Technology (IT) Schedule 70, which grants American governmental entities access to IT items, services, and solutions.

In a release, the Founder and CEO of Telax, Mario Perez, said, "It's a great honour and opportunity to be awarded this GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract. Our solutions have already been proven to be a great fit for government environments. We're continually evolving to meet the needs and challenges specific to our public sector clients. Telax is the only hosted call center provider in North America to deliver solutions on the basis of firm-fixed prices (FFP), a common prerequisite for many government contracts.”

“Because they are delivered through a cloud-based model, Telax solutions are able to leverage existing equipment and require no capital expenditure. The public sector is under a lot of pressure to encourage efficiency while maintaining high standards of service quality. By leveraging a cloud-based model, we deliver a solution that enables organizations of all sizes to walk that fine line with confidence. We are part of a paradigm shift in public sector service delivery Kundra's recent Cloud First policy is a concrete example of that," added Perez.

GSA’s Federal Supply Schedule Contract includes federal, state and municipal governmental bodies in the United States. Telax has been recently chosen as the preferred services provider by GSA's fleet services administration department, the Office of Court Construction and Management of the Administrative Office of the Courts of California, for its contact center services.

According to the terms of the contract, Telax will provide direct channel access to its services and its widely adopted contact center solutions will now be available for purchase through GSA Advantage, which is the United States regulator online purchasing service. The award recognizes Telax as a leader in automatic call distribution (ACD) with a strong public sector presence.
