MyTELEPATH to Leverage Vaultas' Alexandria Data Center to Take Its VoIP Offering to the Next Level

December 07, 2011

Vaultas, a Minnesota data center company offering vendor-neutral data centers and BCDR complexes, recently announced a technology partnership with MyTELEPATH.

Under the partnership, MyTELEPATH, a Minneapolis based provider of managed communications services, is going to leverage Vaultas' redundant fiber-optic network and new colocation data center facility in Alexandria, Minn to expand its Hosted PBX (News - Alert) and Hosted Call Center offerings for all types and sizes of enterprises throughout the Upper Midwest.

When MyTELEPATH started its business nine years back, it mainly catered to the SMBs in the region. Currently, MyTELEPATH is Midwest’s one of the leading providers of managed services and hosted Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services catering to communication needs of businesses of all sizes.

The technological collaboration with Vaultas will allow MyTELEPATH to collocate critical IT equipment and infrastructure in Vaultas' new Alexandria data center and expand its SMB VoIP offering and its nationwide call center services.

In a press release, MyTELEPATH acknowledged that it found Vualtas’ terms extremely favorable with the affordable and flexible access to Vaultas' redundant fiber ring connecting Alexandria, Duluth and Minneapoli.

Partner of MyTELEPATH Mike Larson revealed that Vaultas has opened up a new market in the Upper Midwest for the company, generating new customers and revenue acceleration. Larson attributed this success to Vaultas' new Alexandria data center facility and their scalable and highly redundant fiber-optic network throughout Minnesota.

“Businesses of all types across the Midwest are often thwarted in their aspirations to expand by lack of access to key infrastructure, including data storage facilities and even more frequently by lack of affordable and flexible network bandwidth. MyTELEPATH is a perfect example of such a business, with forward-thinking leaders and aggressive strategies, yet insufficient IT infrastructure to realize those plans. We are proud to partner with MyTELEPATH and help take their business plans to the next level, all while driving economic development in our home state of Minnesota,” Vaultas President John Unger commented in a statement.

A couple of months back, Vaultas, announced the completion of the company’s most recent data center facility in Alexandria, Minnesota. This planned expansion into the St. Cloud, Minnesota market was a part of its overall growth strategy. The move enabled the company to bring a powerful suite of vendor-neutral collocation, data backup, data storage, cloud services and hosting to Central Minnesota.
