Transcosmos' 23rd Call Center Launches in Sapporo City with 300 Work Stations, Provisions for 400 More
One of Japan’s largest call center services providers, transcosmos, recently announced the opening of its next call center facility at the city of Sapporo in Hokkaido Prefecture.
The 979.63-square-meter facility, with 300 workstations, has now formally opened its doors.
transcosmos operates three more call centers in the city – MCM Center Sapporo Odori-Minami, MCM Center Sapporo Odori-Chuo, and MCM Center at the Sapporo train station. The increased business volume at the existing three centers led the company to open the fourth one in the city – "Marketing Chain Management Center Sapporo Odori-Kita.”
It is transcosmos’ 23rd site in Japan.
According to a recent statement, 400 more agents will be hired, as the volume of their operations increases.
MCM Center Sapporo Odori-Kita is strategically located in the nervous system of Sapporo’s business district. Located at the corner of Ekimae Dori (Street) and Kita Ichijo Dori (Street), the facility is a five-minute walk from both MCM Center Sapporo Odori- Minami and MCM Center Sapporo Odori-Chuo.
The new facility is also in close proximity of Work it! Plaza Sapporo, where a wide range of employment information is offered, from permanent positions at transcosmos to contract/temporary and part-time positions, making detailed hiring information available for the various services transcosmos provides.
This enables the staff at both facilities to work in cooperation with one another at ease, in recruitment and general day-to-day business.
Work it! Plaza Sapporo also hosts career events for four-year-college/university and community college students, and for the housewives seeking communicator positions, it provides hands-on experience by which the call center works as a monitor.
transcosmos owns one of the largest call center services in Japan with over 12,000 work stations. In recent years, from a BCP (Business Continuity Plan) viewpoint, there is an increasing demand to spread business over multiple centers, and a demand for cost optimization still remains high, raising the importance of regional call centers.
In order to accommodate such requests, transcosmos will continue to strengthen its regional-oriented services and contribute to the activation and development of the regions by fostering new employment opportunities.
Recently, transcosmos, Inc. and Indonesia's Salim Group's IT company, PT Cyberindo Aditama (CBN), have agreed to establish a joint venture company called PT Transcosmos Indonesia to run call center business in Indonesia.
