ProTracker Intros 'Cloud' for Hosted Remote CRM

January 22, 2010
We like including unusual business locations whenever they crop up, and today’s winner comes from Hampton, N.H., home of ProTracker Software, a vendor for the financial services industry, which has introduced ProTracker Cloud, a hosted remote client relationship management tool.

“Without security there is no privacy,” said Warren J. Mackensen, president of ProTracker Software. “Many states have enacted privacy laws that require a written information security program.”

ProTracker Cloud builds on the ProTracker Advantage product, a contact, client and practice management program. ProTracker Cloud provides a hosted offering that includes the ProTracker Advantage client relationship management system, Microsoft (News - Alert) Office 2007 (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) and Microsoft Outlook for e-mail.

All come standard with ProTracker Cloud and are accessible using a Web browser.

Mackensen said ProTracker Cloud has “two-factor authentication” to ensure data security: “Financial advisers can now connect with secure access to their client and appointment information anywhere, 24/7, from their laptop.” The authentication is based on user name and a “strong password,” he said, plus a physical security key “similar to a car door clicker.”

ProTracker Cloud supports personal digital assistants and smart phones as well. Download a free, 30-day demo: www.protracker.com.

A couple of months ago TMCnet reported that ProTracker introduced its Information Security Program, a step-by-step guide to help professionals stay informed and comply with recent federal and state regulatory changes.

The implementation of a complete ISP requires a thorough review of an entire IT environment so companies will be in compliance with the law. Most importantly, the ISP Manual minimizes the risk of a security breach that could be costly and devastating to a business.

The ISP Manual was developed from the stringent Massachusetts regulations (201 CMR 17.00), which has the most strict regulations in New England that affect virtually every business in the region. This law requires that, if you have personal information on one or more Massachusetts citizens, you must implement the Massachusetts law -- even if you are in New Hampshire, Maine or anywhere else in the country.
