InnoPath ActiveCare Ships on New Phones

February 03, 2010
InnoPath, a provider of over-the-air customer care software for mobile phones and devices, is reportedly offering ActiveCare support software for new phones and devices from Nokia (News - Alert), Samsung, LG, Hitachi, Pantech and Casio Hitachi.

The over-the-air customer care solution from InnoPath enables operators to combat the rising cost of supporting sophisticated new phones while providing better support for their subscribers.

John Fazio, InnoPath president and CEO said, “Our customers can’t dodge the support bullet. For them support is key. InnoPath has a lock on delivering products that help our customers provide better support and a better subscriber experience. Our customers told us they wanted a higher performance client and we listened.”

In addition to new support for G’zOne Brigade and G’zOne Rock from Casio Hitachi, both on Verizon (News - Alert), the latest list of supported devices include the Nokia 2705 Switch and the Nokia 7705 on Verizon, Hitachi DataXX series, LG’s OnStar Gen9 for General Motors (News - Alert), VX-8575 Chocolate Touch for Verizon, and the enV3 VX9200.

Pantech’s Impact and a few new models from Samsung including the U490 music slider with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower, SCH-U450 Intensity, and the SCH-U640 Convoy - all for Verizon- are also shipped with ActiveCare.

InnoPath has also announced immediate availability of its Embedded Client 5.6, the latest iteration of the company’s Device Management Engine and Device Update Agent technology for pre-loading by the handset manufacturer.

According to company officials, technical advances and a strong patent and intellectual property portfolio have facilitated performance enhancements, resulting in performance up to 75 percent better than prior generation clients.

TMCnet recently reported that InnoPath was ranked number 238 on the “Technology Fast 500,” Deloitte’s (News - Alert) ranking of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America.
