November 20, 2009
YouMail (News - Alert) Inc, a voicemail service provider for mobile users, has announced the availability of YouMail to Sprint customers as a free service.

The introduction will help Sprint clients to reach YouMail’s voice mail applications utilizing BlackBerry (News - Alert) smartphones and Google Android phones.

“YouMail has been overwhelmed with requests from Sprint users wanting our service to work with no extra fees,” said Alex Quilici (News - Alert), CEO, YouMail. “Sprint has done a great service to the wireless community by eliminating their previous 20 cents per minute charge for conditional call forwarding and making it easy for users to set up the conditional call forwarding that services like YouMail require.”

YouMail provides speedy and visual voicemail applications, so users of Sprint-based BlackBerry smartphones and Android (News - Alert) mobile phones can access the voicemail inbox easily. Features include:

  • Swift scanning of all incoming voice messages with useful details such as caller name, time and length of the voice message;
  • The ability to listen to voicemail using a simple click on the messages;
  • Easy unlocking of voicemail messages for re-forwarding as e-mail or posting to a blog site;
  • Archiving and saving of required voicemails and permanent deletion of unwanted mails.

To get started, Sprint customesr are required to download the YouMail visual mail application software from the websites and register with YouMail for the facility. The free voicemail service from YouMail is ad-supported and the paid premium service provides voice to text transcription for the needy users.
